Braised Pork and Vegetable Stew

Ingredients

200 gms pork, washed and cut into cubes

100 gms carrots cubed (you can wash it and use it unpeeled)

100 gmspotatoes cubed (use unpeeled if tender, else remove peel)

50 gms of green soybeans (soaked in warm water for ten minutes)

1 tbsp dark soy sauce

3 tbsp cooking wine

4 tbsp oil

4 tbsp oyster sauce

1 tsp salt (remember that soy sauce contains some salt)

1 onion

2 slices of ginger

1 cup water to cook

Chopped spring onions to garnish

Directions

Mix 2 tbsp cooking wine and salt.

Soak the pork in the mixture for 20 minutes, while you get the other ingredients ready.

Saute onions and ginger, add the marinated pork and stir-fry for a couple of minutes in the Gemside Automatic Meal Cooker.

Add the cubed carrots, potatoes and drained soybeans and stir.

Mix in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, rest of the cooking wine and let it simmer for a few minutes.

When it’s done, open the cooker, stir the ingredients, add chopped spring onions and plate it on a bed of rice or noodles or serve it with a side of bread.

Make sure that the pork and vegetables are diced to the same size.
