Braised Lamb Chops

This is a famous dish of Henan Province, China. Based on the feature of the automatic meal cooker, we use the Automatic Sauce Reduction cooking process, so that the lamb chop can absorb the flavor of the sauce completely. With the tasty thick juice, this dish is sure to become a favorite.

[Main Ingredient] 2lb lamb chops

[Key Seasonings] 1tsp salt, 2tbsp white sugar, 1/2cup tomato sauce, and 1/8cup thick chili sauce

[Flavor Seasonings] 3 pieces of green onion, 4 slices of ginger, 1tsp dark soy sauce, and 2tbsp cooking wine

[Water Amount] 4 Gemside cups (including liquid seasonings, e.g. dark soy sauce and cooking wine)

[Process]

  1. Soak the lamb chop in water for over 30 minutes, wash with water and then cut into big chunks.
  2. Put the prepared lamb chop, seasonings and water in the pot.
  3. Close the lid and turn on the automatic cooking function by pressing [ASR·Lamb] key on the panel. The cooking procedure will be performed automatically.
  4. After finishing cooking, evenly stir the ingredients in the pot before serving.

[Key Points]

  1. Tomato sauce must be sufficient.
  2. Dark soy sauce is used for coloring. You can cook this dish without it.
  3. Pick out green onion and ginger after cooking is done. Pour out excess oil before serving.
  4. If there is too much water, turn on the [Dry Up Cooking] function for the second round of sauce reduction.
